ProjectCSGIRLS, Director of India
As the Director of India, I hosted ProjectCSGIRL’s first three International workshops in New Delhi, India. Within the first 3 months, along with my team, I managed to host 3 events and introduce 277 girls to technology! I am hosting several more this year so that I can introduce Indian girls to Computer Science so that they understand its importance in today’s world and explore their interests in the field of technology and are not left behind in this booming industry!
ProjectCSGIRLS in New Delhi is an extension of ProjectCSGIRLS which was founded during the summer of 2013. ProjectCSGIRLS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in computing and technology. In today’s world where technology is becoming increasingly prominent and essential to nearly every field of study, we aim to instill a love for computing and technology in middle school girls because a large chunk of learning and development occurs during the critical middle school period.

Mentors for Aspiring Girls in Computing(M.A.G.I.C.), Java Instructor
In the Fall of 2015, I volunteered as a Java Instructor for the club M.A.G.I.C. I taught at Jefferson High School, West Lafayette, Indiana to encourage girls to pursue Computer Science. Even though I started teaching Java from the basics, by the end of the semester I was able to collaborate with my students to make a Connect4 game. This experience was very valuable to me since it helped me develop my communication skills especially with new people and made me learn a lot of collaborative skills as well.
